I’m bit of a newcomer to the world of developing websites after a change in career a couple of years ago but I've been writing code in various forms for about 10 years now.
Before jumping into the world wide web, I was working as a Technical Specialist for a scientific instrument manufacturer. I travelled around the world setting up and developing technical solutions for our customers, including custom analytical software.
In what feels like another life I also have a PhD in condensed matter physics. I spent most of the time studying the atomic structure of materials called Quasicrystals. They’re really cool, you should wikipedia them!
